Ya, actually if you're system is configured correctly, you can get AMAZING speeds from Shaw. With the recent bump to 15mbps I got 27000 kb/s using the same test as above. insane. MUCH more please with Shaw's Internet service than I am with their tv service.

Can you guys try the speed tests from testmy.net? I would like to see what your actual speeds are without the speedboost. It seems pretty apparent that the speedboost is giving everyone artificially high transfer rates for the first 10MB. At testmy.net, you can try the test with 50, 75, or 100MB files and we should be able to get a more accurate indication of your real transfer rates after the first few seconds and the speedboost quits.

you realize that speedtest are not always accurate. the best way to test your speed is to download multiple files from 2 or 3 fast servers and combine the total speeds.

i suggest downloading from microsoft.com or apple.com

i can download roughly 5-6mb/sec between 4-5 files on each site when you add the total download speeds together.
