Default Intel GMA 950 for playback

I have this board:

http://www.uabit.com/index.php?optio...ge=1&model=324

and a Core 2 Duo T5600 Mobile CPU (1.86Ghz).

It uses an on-board Intel 950 GMA graphics chip. Does it have sufficient horsepower to display standard def content (divx, mpeg, etc...) at 1920x1080 rez on my LCD?

If not I'll just give it to my dad for his rig, and I'll look at something else.

You'll have no problem at all with SD content regardless of the monitor resolution. If you 'upconvert' with ffdshow, it's more of a CPU chore so there shouldn't be any problem either.

As you may suspect, this won't do HDDVD or BD, I don't think it'll pass the PowerDVD check point.
