HDNet: the leading broadcaster of Canadian HD content, and it's not even available in Canada!

Actually, didn't CITY-HD air this last year at the holidays? The show certainly smacks of a CITY production.

On a related note, CITY will be producing its New Year's Eve bash from Nathan Phillips Square in HD:

This Year, CHUM Television is producing and broadcasting Canada's New Years Eve Bash in High Definition on CitytvHD. Christie Digital has graciously donated two of their Roadster S+16 Projectors. These projectors boast incredible 10 bit video processing. Combined with 3-CHIP DLP technology and a 16,000 ANSI Lumen Xenon light source, spectators in the crowd will be able to view brighter, richer and clearer images on two large screens suspended on each side of the stage. If you have never experienced the sensation of High Definition, come on down to Nathan Phillips Square and take part in the celebrations.

A year ago this would have been on the Omnibus channels so many Canadians would see it.

Now, with the better Canadian content protection afforded by the regulators, most Canadians won't be able to see it.

Better HD would make a nice election promise....

HDNET and the US version of Discovery HD Theater both show a far amount of Canadian (or about Canada) content, including much that was paid (full or part) by Canadian tax dollars.

CBC HD shows at one time were only available on HDNET.

I just recorded this (Barenaked) a couple of days ago. I think it was on City-HD.

As of yet, I have only watched the first song. I am just waiting until I am in more of a Christmas mood to enjoy it.
Ordinarily he was insane, but he had lucid moments when he was merely stupid.
