Cogeco PVR box losing Favorites list - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

Am I the only one who uses the favorites list in the guide?

Every time I bring this up with Cogeco, they say nobody has ever called about something like this.

I like to set up the favorite list so that I do not have to see all the channels I do not get. But many times the list is empty or modified. First I thought the kids, so I pin locked it. Still happens.

I have narrowed it down to power outages, since we get quite a few brown outs in Milton, this is why this occurs so often.

Anyone else have this issue?

(I know, if I use a UPS this wouldn't happen) lol

my favourites list also disappears or gets truncated occasionally after a power outage. it doesn't happen every time the power goes out, but its the only situation i notice it happening

I have switched to the new Pace unit and this issue is dead for me. At least it hasn't happened yet!
