I am a little emotional about this. (I bet you guessed). I will wait for their actions. I do have trouble with the Act I saw a few weeks ago needing more time to weigh Than the McSorley incident. 1 blow vs 3.

I saw the 'hit' again, not seeing it for about 2 weeks.
they showed the entire play (the camera was not off moore and bertuzzi) I think about 3 times bertuzzi grabs moore's jersey, and on the last time, we all know what happened. What a stand-up guy Moore is. He should be, he's a Harvard (I think) grad, same as his brothers. I think Bertuzzi should be gone for most of next season. I say 41 games, no pay either. |

I've been following this thread and would like to state that I am not a Canucks fan, but I think his suspension was too harsh. Although I don't condone what happened, I feel that there are plays as dangerous if not more so than the sucker punch. The extenet of the injury is what is driving the suspension, but if Moore had jumped right up (which I still am a little suprised that he didn't) Bertuzzi would have likely only got 2-3 games? and we would have all forgot it by now. Again, I don't agree with what he did, but I think swinging a 4ft chunk of lumber at a guys coconut is not even comparable to punching someone in the back of the head and falling on him.

One shot and falling on him, or one shot , driving his head into the ice and then hitting him again? It is the last 2 parts that really get me going.

I guess as with most things in life, it is up for interpretation.

Mole, you should be pleased to know that the Vancouver city police have finished their investigation.

I honestly think most of the damage was the result of the pile up, and not the initial punch.
Bertuzzi served his time, which IMO was more than enough and should be allowed to play. The league did the right thing here. |

Bertuzzi was also excluded from a World Cup and a World Championships. He was also not allowed to go and play in Europe either . There's 50+ games right there. The way I see it, Bertuzzi has been suspended from 70 games plus tournaments. That's almost a full NHL season and that would be way too much.
The league made the right decision in letting Bertuzzi play in game 1. |

It's enough already !! I know Moore had been hurt really bad but come on , with a dog pile like that anything can happen . It was clearly a heat of the moment thing getting revenge on the Naslund hit Moore did earlier in the season and the media hyping it up until they met again , then running with it for all it's worth!! I know it was unfortunate but lets move on , he served enough , lost enough salary , embarrassed etc. If Moore seeks damages later so be it , lets just move on and drop the frickin puck!!!!

Heat of the moment? Right. They'll be using that one in murder cases all over the place. Bertuzzi is damn lucky they never banned him for life. And he's also lucked his way out of criminal charges. Perhaps Moore can sue him for all he's worth.

Notice the location of many of those thinking he's done his time. It's amazing how being a member of your local team changes your perspective entirely. I'm not condemning it. Merely pointing it out. The fan wants him back. The competition doesn't want to deal with him. The rest look at it more objectively. But the fans won't see it that way. Gary
