Unhappy Cogeco Pace RNG150N and Toshiba DVD Video Recorder DR430KC

I have the Cogeco Pace RNG150N model with HD/DVR. I am attempting to record a program from the DVR onto my Toshiba DVD Video Recorder DR430KC model. I am using a DVD-R disc.

When trying to record a program, I receive a message "ERROR: This program is not recordable in video mode. E27" and it will not allow me to record the program.

However, I am able to record a program in live TV mode. I previously was successful recording programs from the Bell ExpressVu PVR onto the same DVD Video Recorder, and I know of relatives who are able to record programs from their Cogeco (different model) onto their own DVD Recorder.

Any help to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

See the following post on recording to DVD Recorders. There's a link at the bottom of post 1 regarding copy protection, which is different with different providers, programming, DVD Recorders, live, second recordings, etc. Lots of other helpful links...

By "live recording" do you mean via the DVD recorder's internal analogue tuner, or via the STB, but live rather than recorded?

By "live recording" I mean I can record a program I am watching in live tv mode. That is to say a program that is playing immediately without pausing, rewinding or the like. What I can't seem to record is programs that have been recorded onto the Cogeco PVR hard drive. Hope that clarifies things.

The show probably has a 'record once' flag. The recording on the PVR is the 'once' that you're allowed, so when you try to copy it, you get that error.
