I don't think they really have an issue with SHAW, they just added a SHAW owned channel here in Ontario yesterday.

So, it's nice to see things at Rogers HQ aren't changing. Space, Bravo, AMC HD. Two out of three ain't bad, but alas we get neither. The bill continues to be paid, yet I get nothing more for my troubles.

See the CRTC SIMSUB thread on this board.. in a reply to me, Rogers 'claims' we're to get a bunch of HD versions of specialty channels before "the end of summer"

Me too. However, perhaps they are growing tired of losing customers hand over fist and handing out 30% discounts all over the place because they've fallen so far behind the others. If they do this, and we actually see the channels match up to Ontario they would certainly be a major player again.

In Acadien Peninsula I see:
542 - WFN HD 543 - HLN HD 578 - WLD HD 596 - W HD 597 - FOOD HD 598 - HGTV HD 657 - TVA SPORT HD But I'm still waiting for these that are not in my area yet (but seen to be in Moncton): 200 - Broadcast News 213 - Free Kids TV OnDemand 900 - Rogers Self Serve 1200 - PassTime Games Why we can get new channel, but not older ones? If we can get new ones, that might mean that it's not a bandwidth issue. And there still a few channel in SD and many in HD that we don't have in the atlantic that are available in Ontario. |

It all depends which frequency they are placed at. That was the reason I was told few years back.

If you guys have SDV in New Brunswick, technically their shouldn't be a problem for Rogers to add New channels even if your system is 750 MHZ. I don't know why you guys always get the shaft in comparison to Ontario lineups. Maybe the issue is budget related since their are steep costs in adding channels from a technical standpoint. Of course i'm just guessing.

We also got standard definition versions of the Canadian versions H2 and Lifetime .. Don't know the channel numbers right off..
Maybe those were there for a while, but I just noticed them last night. Just found this : The Cave is rebranding to H2 and Showcase Diva is rebranding to Lifetime. |
