Consumer grade "routers" contain a router and multi-port switch in the same box, with the 2 functions connected internally. I used the word "switch" to make clear which function I was referring to.

Ok, thanks lol..just clearing that up. I know that SMC doesn't exactly make the best routers..i've had issues with them before but this is the one hey sent me. I will have to get in contact with them and request a new one unless there is any else with this model that can be done to make this work. Thanks
