I admit, I do not watch EPL on TSN. However, there are two examples of ESPN coverage that convince me of my suspicion.

On Friday, during Russia - Czech Republic game, TSN aired ESPN feed for some time. Even in that short period of time, I saw ESPN showed a bit of statistics below the score board.

On Sunday, I watched sports news on CTV. CTV aired ESPN feed as highlight reel. There it was, the ticker paraded on the bottom. However, I can give ESPN the benefit of the doubt for this one. CTV may have gotten the clip from SportsCenter.

Matchday 3 is upon us. Both games are played simultaneously. I hope the halftime show doesn't tell us what's happening in the other game.

I've no doubt it will, but hopefully they'll have the common sense to warn us in time to look away if desired.

Meh...it's going to be hard to avoid it. So pick the game you want to watch the most. Even if the commentators don't whisper the score at the end, the body language of the players ought to tell you the outcome of the other. For instance if Italy beats Ireland but the players aren't rejoicing you can bet that Spain and Croatia finished in a 2-2 draw.

Yep... it was really nice of TSN to switch to the RUS-GRE game on the POL-CZE channel once over for the last 10 seconds of the RUS-GRE game! The least they could have done was given a spoiler warning. Guess there's no need to watch the second game now...

The TSN comentators cheesed me off a few days ago.I turned on the tv to watch the England-Sweden game , and they annouced the score of the earlier France-Ukraine game.I was planning on watching that game right after the England game.

I miss the vuvuzelas !

What did you really think would happen?

I'm sure people PVR the "other game" but they are smart enough to realize the game they are watching won't be spoiler-free, even more so if you post on Twitter/online/etc during the games.

If you decide not to watch your PVR'd game just because you saw the final score, you're doing it wrong.

There are countless examples on sports television where the commentators give fair warning before telling the score, or better yet don't even go there. It's just a common courtesy.

Last fall when both the Winnipeg Bombers and Jets played at the same time TSN specifically said they would not show highlights for those PVR'ing the "other" game and watching later.
