Half a million Android Devices activated each day
Over half a million Android devices are being activated every day according to a recent tweet by Google Senior VP Andy Rubin.
That number is up from 300,000 per day last December and 200,000 a day in August 2010. Rubin says the number of activations is still growing by over 4% every week. A recent report from IDC predicted that about 180 of the 472 million smartphones expected to be sold in 2011 will be powered by Android.
