Default Cell phone unlocking

I would appreciate suggestions on where to go to get my Motorola Defy (currently with TELUS) unlocked.

I have found a lot of services online that ask you for your IMEI code and a fee (~$25) - sounds convenient but I've also read reviews where people say these services often don't work.

So are there local places in Vancouver (or surrounding area) that people can suggest ? I looked at this post and a few people have said they had luck with a service suggested by @ckl but the actual location/store name is not mentioned.

Thanks for your help in advance!

I have just unlocked two, one talk&text and one blackberry using cellunlocker.net it cost me 8$US each and it worked.

But price may be higher on some model or even be not unlockable

They give you a quote when your enter Make, Model, IMEI, and Carrier.

This is only my personal experience, and it does not mean more than that

Note that it might not be as it has been for me

Good luck in your quest.
